Why AI operations clicked

In November 2022, ChatGPT launched and something clicked for me.

For the first time, I could build solutions to problems I had been facing for 15 years. Custom workflows that would have required hiring developers suddenly became possible with AI-assisted coding. Automations that were too expensive to build became viable.

Most businesses were stuck at the “interesting demo” stage. They would try ChatGPT for a week, get some cool outputs, then go back to doing things the old way. What was missing was knowing what to automate and how to actually implement it without disrupting operations.
